Jan Englesma, Seminar 2008	Seminar With Jan Englesma July 20th, 2008 hosted by CCFC and held at the graciously donated (by CCFC member Tracy underwood) facility, The Santa Rosa Equestrian Center. We had 10 Friesians and 30 auditors and Attendees. We started or morning indoors with coffee and doughnuts, after everyone had introduced themselves. Mr. Jan Emglesma began his talk on the Friesian horse; he covered everything from breed types to breeding goals and characteristics. Plus much much more ( you will have to come next time to find out) He addressed and answered many questions and concerns and misconceptions that people had regarding the Friesian horse. After a lunch of Pizza and soda we went out to the indoor arena a started examining horses, Jan clearly explained each section of the linier score form and broke it down, teaching us the corresponding areas on the horses and what was considered correct or incorrect. We even all tried our hand at filling out a form on our own, then got to compare our scores with Jan's. It was a fun day in a friendly and amicable atmosphere, everyone went away with a better education on the Friesian horse then they arrived with. Jan was honest and generous with his answers.
